In this 8 week earring focused class students can expect to learn different ways to create earring mechanisms such as posts, hooks, and other mechanisms for wearability; as well as a variety of earring styles, such as studs, hoops, and dangles. The course structure will be set with a demonstration heavy introduction to the various ways of producing all of these different elements. After the students learn these various methods and techniques, the course will shift to a guided project focus, allowing students the time to then apply what they have learned to create an array of earrings in their own style! Due to this class being taught more like an educational intensive, it is necessary that students have taken an Introduction to Jewelry class prior to enrolling in this course. (that introductory course does not have to have been taken at Alloy Atelier)
Base metals (copper, brass, bronze) are included in class price. Silver and cabochon stones are available for purchase in class as needed.
