This 8-week introductory course covers the fundamentals of jewelry fabrication and design. Students will learn the tools and techniques required for basic metalsmithing through a variety of hands-on exercises and demonstrations, culminating in a finished piece of jewelry. Processes will include sawing, filing, riveting, forming, soldering, and finishing. This course is ideal for beginners who are curious about jewelry-making and looking to spend time developing their skills.
Base metals (copper, brass, bronze) are included in class price. Silver and cabochon stones are available for purchase in class as needed.
