This 8-week course covers the fundamentals of jewelry fabrication with a special focus on chain making. Students will observe in-depth demonstrations and be coached through skill-building exercises so they can confidently design and create their own chain. Students will explore different types of linkage to design a wearable chain that is uniquely theirs. Each student will take home a bracelet or necklace at the end of the course.

Processes will include sawing, filing, forming, soldering, tumble finishing and basic tube stone setting. This course is ideal for beginners or makers with moderate experience that are hoping to develop their skills at chainmaking.

Base metals (copper, brass, bronze) are included in class price. Silver is available for purchase in class as needed.

Intro to Chain Making will be taught by Skyler Bradford on Sunday Mornings from 10am-1pm from 2/1 - 3/26 with no class on 3/5 for Easter
