Deepen your understanding of basic skills and explore a variety of new techniques in this Intro to Jewelry follow-up*. Pattern making and design conception will be a core focus of the class, guiding students through a hollow-constructed piece of jewelry. More advanced soldering, forming, and finishing will be practiced in a series of samples. Bezel setting and textural components will be taught as a way to bring complexity and individuality to finished work.

Students are encouraged to bring a notebook to class for sketching and note taking and will be assigned some design work outside of class.

This course is a great opportunity to refine your fabrication skills and begin to develop a more individual approach to jewelry design.

  • Base metals (copper, brass, bronze) are included in class price
  • Silver and cabochon stones are available for purchase in class as needed.

*Intro level course does not need to have been taken at Alloy Atelier. Please reach out for questions regarding needed experience. Single night workshops are not sufficient.
